# Papertray > Papertray is a calm to-do app for you and the people you share with. Shared projects and areas, assignable to-dos, a calendar, Google Tasks sync and progress rings that count real to-dos, synced across the web, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows and Android. Free to start; Pro is $4 (€4 in the EU) per person per month. Papertray is made by an independent developer in Lisbon, Portugal. The app runs at https://app.papertray.io and is available in English, Portuguese (Portugal), Spanish, French and German. ## What it does - Views: Inbox for whatever just occurred to you, Today, Upcoming for anything with a date, Anytime, Someday for the rest, and a Logbook of finished to-dos. - Calendar: the whole month with the chosen day beside it. Add to-dos on a day ("14:30 Call Ana" sets the time) and drag them to another day. - Organisation: areas hold projects; projects hold headings and to-dos. Areas fold away in the sidebar. To-dos can have a "when" date, a due date, a time, tags, an assignee and repeats (on a schedule or a set time after completion). - Editing: select several to-dos at once (box, Shift- or Cmd-click) and change them together; exact undo and redo in every field; double-click to edit; the date menu also holds Repeat, Someday and Assign. - Sharing: invite people by email or invite link to one project or to a whole area. Everyone with access can add, edit and tick off to-dos. Anything not shared stays private. - Assigning: give a to-do to someone on the project. Only people who already have access can be picked. - Progress rings: every ring counts real to-dos; a full ring is a finished project. No streaks, badges or points. - Sync: changes reach other signed-in devices within about five seconds. - Integrations: two-way Google Tasks sync; Reclaim through Google Tasks; a Claude connector (a private link that lets Claude read lists, add and complete to-dos); one-step Todoist import with an API token; imports from TickTick backups, Trello, Google Takeout, CSV or pasted text. - Look: five icon styles (Classic, 3D, 3D one colour, 2D, 2D one colour) on every plan; light, dark or Auto; theme builder on Pro and Team. - Getting started: a hands-on walkthrough has new users make their own first area, project and to-dos. - Devices: any modern browser (Windows, Linux, Chromebook, Android, Mac). On iPhone and iPad it is added to the Home Screen from Safari and opens full screen; on Android it installs from Chrome; on the Mac it runs in its own window. - Demo: a demo with example projects runs in the browser without an account: https://app.papertray.io/login.html?demo ## Plans and pricing - Free, $0 forever: every view, unlimited projects and areas, sync across devices, share with 1 other person. - Pro, $4 per person per month (€4 in the EU, VAT included): everything in Free, share with up to 5 people, unlimited shared areas, assign to-dos to people, themes and custom colours (theme builder). - Team, priced on request: everything in Pro, up to 25 people, admin controls, activity log, priority support. - Every new account gets 14 days of Pro, no card needed. Plan limits apply to whoever owns the shared project or area. Payments are handled by Paddle as merchant of record. ## Compared with other apps Papertray will feel familiar to people who use Things (Inbox, Today, Upcoming, Someday, Logbook, areas, projects, headings). The difference is sharing: Things is a personal app for Apple devices, while Papertray lets you share projects and areas with other people, assign to-dos to them, and use it in any browser on any device. Papertray has no notifications, checklists or notes inside to-dos yet. - [Papertray vs Things 3](https://papertray.io/vs/things-3) - [Papertray vs Todoist](https://papertray.io/vs/todoist) - [Papertray vs TickTick](https://papertray.io/vs/ticktick) - [Papertray vs Microsoft To Do](https://papertray.io/vs/microsoft-to-do) - [Papertray vs Apple Reminders](https://papertray.io/vs/apple-reminders) ## Privacy Data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). No ads, no selling of data, and to-dos are never used to train AI. Usage statistics never include the text of to-dos and can be turned off in Settings. ## Links - [Home page](https://papertray.io/): overview, plans and frequently asked questions - [Compare](https://papertray.io/compare): side-by-side comparisons with other to-do apps - [Help](https://papertray.io/help): adding, scheduling and sharing to-dos, installing, sync, passwords - [Terms of Service](https://papertray.io/terms) - [Privacy Policy](https://papertray.io/privacy) - [Sign up](https://app.papertray.io/login.html?signup)
